Agile PAIR's Origin and Governance
Agile PAIR is one of three Interdisciplinary Research Centers (IRCs), established after a competitive selection process. The two other IRCs are DoDaS and DAEDALUS. Like all other IRCs, Agile PAIR undergoes regular evaluations. Agile PAIR is funded by central funds from TU Dortmund, the Department of Statistics, the Department of Educational Sciences and Psychology and the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences.
Agile PAIR's founding impulse originates from the MKW-funded project FAIR (From Prediction to Agile Interventions in the Social Sciences) at TU Dortmund University. With Agile PAIR, the principle investigators (PIs) and postdoctoral researchers in FAIR established a longlasting structure that continues to push forward work in agile prevention and intervention research after FAIR's completion in July 2025.
Agile PAIR's speakers are determined by the general assembly of all Agile PAIR PIs. Strong mid-career researchers and experts external to TU Dortmund are Associate Members of Agile PAIR. If you are interested in joining Agile PAIR as a PI or Associate Member, please let us know!
